Beta-Glucan is a bioactive carbohydrate derived from the cell wall of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as Bakers' yeast. Scientific studies have shown that Beta-Glucan supports immune function through its ability to stimulate macrophage activity.

Beta-glucan is also used to maintain or stimulate the effectiveness of the immune system. Animal and human cell culture studies have shown that beta-glucan can stimulate several aspects of immune function, such as phagocytosis and interleukin production.
